The first Polish GP in fly fishing competition this season was held on the Vistula and Brennica rivers on 20-22 April 2018. The formula of the competition has changed this year and for the first time the competition took place without position judges.
The weather during this year's Wisła Cup was typically lukewarm and, of course, was not favorable for anglers. High temperature, small and clean water meant that you had to fish for very thin lines and smaller flies.
This year, apart from trout, chub played a very important role, they were mostly caught on dry fly, wet fly, micro-nymphs, and nymphs, occasionally on streamers.
In this way, the first competition is behind us, now we are waiting for the next ones, which will soon be on San.
